Autoantibodies are markers of autoimmune diseases. The most frequently observed is the anti-SSA/Ro autoantibody. It is observed in Gougerot-Sjögren syndrome, systemic lupus erythematosus, undifferentiated connectivites but also sometimes in rheumatoid arthritis and scleroderma. Using artificial intelligence approaches on multi-omics data (genomic, epigenomic, transcriptomic and proteomic) from more than 1000 patients, LBAI researchers have identified a common signature for all patients carrying anti-SSA/Ro autoantibodies. This should make it possible to envisage precision medicine approaches.
